"Hugh and I first met when he was Software Architect with Hyperion and met at XBRL conferences. I was then already quite impressed not only by his technical expertise but by his capacity to express it in simple and understandable words. Too many geeks (and Hugh can't be perceived as one of them) are focused on 'the way to go' instead of the final objective. Hugh is defintely someone who knows 'where' to go, but obviously 'how' to go, creating the adequate framework to succeed. Last but not least, Hugh is just a nice person and I really enjoyed working with him, as a colleague but aslo as a partner in my capacity of Director of XBRL Activities at the IASB/IFRS Foundation."

"Hugh Wallis has a deep knowledge of the financial services and web data standards (such as XBRL) and the processes by which these standards are created. He has looked across multiple organisations to help create the process standards of XBRL International. Hugh's background in data warehousing was critical in his input to the XBRL Dimensions specification and subsequent developments. I would recommend Hugh without reservation. He is extremely hard working, and can keep a vast amount of detailed information readily at hand. He is exceptional at keeping project teams on track and focused on productive tasks. All of his work for XBRL International was executed with the highest standards of ethics and professionalism, coupled with technical excellence."
